Mobile games you can play offline

We test RPGs, puzzles and simulators that run without a connection and tell you honestly which ones are worth your storage. Everything here has been played through by the editorial team, not copied from a store page. We just tested Luxora and wrote up how it actually feels to play.

Emberfall Saga
RPG

Emberfall Saga

★★★★★ 4.5

Emberfall Saga is the kind of role-playing game that feels bigger than its download size. You lead a small party through a fractured kingdom, fighting turn-based battles where positioning matters as much as raw damage. The story is told mostly through short character conversations, and while it will not win awards, it gives you a reason to keep pushing east.

  • Deep, respec-friendly skill system
  • Full campaign playable offline
  • Combat rewards smart positioning

Questions & answers

How do you choose which games to review?

We look for games that fully work without an internet connection and that offer something worth writing about, whether that is clever design, a strong mood, or just great value. Every candidate is installed and played on a real phone before we decide. If it fails our airplane mode test, it does not make the site.

Do studios pay you for reviews?

No. We do not accept payment for coverage or for a higher score, and there are no sponsored reviews dressed up as editorial. When we praise a game like Luxora, it is because we enjoyed playing it, not because anyone paid us.

Can I suggest a game for you to cover?

Yes, and we read every suggestion. Send us the game name and a line about why you like it through the contact email. We prioritise offline games, so mentioning that it works without a connection helps a lot.

Is there advertising on the site?

We may run light, non-intrusive display ads to help cover hosting, but they never influence our scores or which games we cover. Advertising and editorial are kept completely separate. If that ever changes, we will say so clearly on the site.
