The airplane mode test every review should pass

Every game on this site goes through the same first check: we install it, open it once, then switch the phone to airplane mode and try to play from scratch. It sounds obvious, but you would be amazed how many 'offline' titles stumble here.

Some games open fine but freeze on a loading spinner the moment they cannot reach a server. Others hide a login behind the settings menu, or blank out entire modes without a connection.

We also test that progress saves locally by force-closing the app and reopening it in airplane mode. If a save vanishes, that is a serious mark against the game.

This is why our catalogue grows slowly. A game can look great on the store page and still fail the airplane mode test, and if it does, it simply does not belong here.
